Rounding Cap Corse

Cap Corse is a very significant headland as rounding it means we have made it up the west side of Corsica without getting stuck to wait out a Mistral. We set off with a forecast of light north winds going west so hoped to motor half way and then sail along the top. But obviously Cap Corse has its own weather and we ended up motoring into a 10 to 20-knot headwind all the way, despite turning through 180 degrees! Never mind, at least the sea was calm, which probably isn’t the case here a lot of the time.
